San Andreas State Police or commonly called Trooper is the state Law Enforcement Agency of the U.S. State Of San Andreas which has full authority in every County in the State Of San Andreas to carry out law enforcement activities and criminal investigations. In general, San Andreas State Police and San Andreas Highway Patrol are the same Department, its just that the two names have different duties. at San Andreas State Police has the task of enforcing laws in the State Of San Andreas, overseeing state security and the state capital complex, protecting governors, and controlling every City Police Department and County Sheriff Department that are in State Of San Andreas, while San Andreas Highway Patrol have the same task but their patrol area is more focused on the Highway only and the border between County in State Of San Andreas. Not mean SAHP can only patrol on the Highway but they can also patrol on the city streets to help the local Police Department or Sheriff Department.
The San Andreas State Police, along with the Los Santos County Sheriff's Department and the Los Santos Police Department, makes up the executive branch of Los Santos. Together they ensure that the law is upheld and enforced.

Commissioner Alezandro Beego, Comissioner James Thompson, Comissioner Vasco De Gama is the Chief of SASP. The rank held by Trooper has a high degree and honor as Executive Staff Officer, State Command Officer, or State Police Officer.
