Background Story[]
Char Delgado, married to Raul Delgado, was the former La Jefa of Viper Eastside Vagos alongside Raul who was the El Jefe.
She grew up as an orphan in the East of Los Santos by Fudge Lane. Her heart was too pure and kind to stand living in the orphanage and seeing everyday the desperation and evil that grew within children like her who were abandoned and forgotten. No one cared for kids who could not defend or look after themselves. No one really cared much for another mouth to feed; life was already hard enough. Life at the orphanage was cruel, and she believed that living on the streets would be better than living there.
She tried to run away from the orphanage three times. The first two led to harsher rules and beatings from the Matron who scarred her physically and emotionally, but desperation led her to push for her freedom at 14 years old when she was able to officially run away from the orphanage.
Vagos Life | Connection with Raul Delgado[]
After living on the streets for a few weeks, she befriended a couple of people who worked at the local LTDs in the south east of Los Santos who tried to spare her some food that didn't get sold or stolen during the day. Because of her age, she was unable to take up most jobs and instead secretly did illegal work for the local gangs in the south side until someone provided her work at VU and a fake ID (her only ID, which she uses until now).
Raul was one of her closer friends growing up in the south side as an orphan living on the streets and at VU, and was the main reason why she became a Vagos member too. Through him she met everyone else, became a hangaround and gradually became a leader with him. Throughout this period, Raul and Char changed from friends to lovers throughout their teenage years, and officially tied the knot in the middle of a gang war a year ago. August 6 is their wedding anniversary.
When the street gang life got too toxic for Char, with her friends and 'family' either leaving, betraying her, or dying, she moved to New York then another country. She planned to never come back to Los Santos and rarely saw her husband, but she came back to Los Santos when Mr. Paff, one of Raul's cousins called her to perform at a local music festival. Char has stayed in Los Santos since then.
Madness Festival | Family and Hashira[]
Madness Festival was the sole reason Char arrived back in Los Santos, believing that she had no place here after what happened in her past. But to her surprise, despite coming for work obligations only, she found new family and friends that made her want to stay and pursue her passions in Marketing, Media and Music.
Because of her brother-in-law, Jean, she became good friends with the new members in CG, better known as Chou Gang. Char then became an official member of Chou Gang up until they switched their identity to Hashira. "It's Really Not A Gang, It's A Fuckin' Family."
As a member of Hashira, she is the appointed Consultant/Advisor. She is the go-to person within The Family to talk with other gangs when necessary to sort out issues, or, be the one to talk about internal family issues and suggestions.
